Our risk perception studies explore how communities understand, prioritize, and respond to public health hazards such as disease outbreaks, sanitation-related illnesses, food contamination, or poor water quality. We investigate factors shaping people’s risk awareness, decision-making, and preventive behaviours — offering insights for risk communication strategies and public health emergency preparedness.

We conduct KAPB surveys to assess public knowledge, beliefs, and practices surrounding water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). These studies uncover gaps in knowledge, harmful social beliefs, hygiene practices, and public attitudes toward WASH facilities and services, supporting targeted public health interventions.

We conduct studies to understand public behaviour toward shared spaces such as streets, parks, markets, beaches, drains, and public toilets. Our research identifies behavioural patterns, cultural norms, and attitudes influencing cleanliness, vandalism, dumping, and maintenance practices in communal spaces.

Our studies investigate consumer and vendor behaviours relating to food safety, hygiene, and environmental health risks in markets, streets, homes, and restaurants. We identify attitudes, practices, and gaps in food handling, storage, preparation, and consumption that heighten public health risks — and recommend behaviour change interventions for safer food environments.
